Oct. 13, 2007	DeStefanis Dolcetto d'Alba Bricco Galluccio 2005 DeStefanis Dolcetto d'Alba Bricco Galluccio 2005 Region: Piedmont, Italy > Winery: DeStefanis Variety: Dolcetto tight floral notes dominating the blackberry fruit and a tart acidic finish. In fact, it's quite closed, which may be an indication that it's got years ahead of it, or that it simply lacks the flashy fruit I would have expected. Not a bad match for food, but not altogether pleasing as a standalone beverage. - 10/13/2007		3/5 Stars. 1 2 3 4 5

Flavor: Lively on the palate with peach, pear, lemon and pineapple flavors, highlighted with warm spice notes and caramel cream. It was aged for 12 months in new and used French and American oak. Dark ruby in color, it offers up attractive fruity aromas of plums, blueberry, and licorice with smoky, toasty notes in the background. This is followed by a lush, medium to full-bodied wine with a supple texture, ripe fruit, and good flavors in an easy-drinking, user-friendly style.
