I know it gets wonderful ratings, having sampled it numerous times, I can't validate the consistency as some uncorked at mondavi on seperate occasions vary in acidity and this greatly affects the velvety tannins often cited. Too variable foe my tastes to ensure quality for the price. - 07/08/2007

black bear 2004 is rich full bodied low tannins, aromatous, brings out the cocoa in dark chocolate - just yummy. It converted me to a port lover. Made of pure cab grapes, estate bottled, 2004. - 07/08/2007
