The Cabernet Sauvignon is from the Terra A Lago vineyard in the Alexander Valley. This vineyard consistently yields the most concentrated Cabernet Sauvignon we produce and contributes structure and flavors of blackberry and thyme. Texture and red cherry sweetness come from the Merlot, which we source from benchland vineyards in the central Alexander Valley. A century ago, White Hermitage was considered the best white wine in France. Many producers of Rhone variety whites are making “Chardonnay wannabees” – big, fat wines with lots of new oak. At Wellington Vineyards we produce Marsanne, Roussanne, and Sauvignon blanc with minimal new oak, so that the true character of the grape variety shines through. - 04/03/2010		3/5 Stars. 1 2 3 4 5
