The oak was there, but for some reason it didn't bother me like other oaky wines do... I'd dare say I liked the oak flavor. This could be a great bridge wine to get you interested in oak flavors. Buttery nose. Almost like a ham/prosciutto smell... or a subtle smoked salmon. I'm guessing the wine would go well with those foods. Drunk at the Morton's Riedel tasting. A not-too-oaky Chardonnay. The oak was there, but for some reason it didn't bother me like other oaky wines do... I'd dare say I liked the oak flavor. This could be a great bridge wine to get you interested in oak flavors.

Buttery nose. Almost like a ham/prosciutto smell... or a subtle smoked salmon. I'm guessing the wine would go well with those foods.

Less flavor that I was expecting based on the nose, but solid still. Peppery finish. - 08/23/2008
