From Bacchus Selections:
"A charming bottle with Pinot-like fruit and a rustic nose. A bracing acidity and floral quality drives this wine forward. It finishes with bright cranberry and spices. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Nebbiolo, and Barbera." - 03/07/2012

Typical Cava QPR. Leans toward the fruit side of things. Nice and refreshing. Newman said, "Tiny bubbles" :) - 05/05/2010

From http://www.newmanwineandspirits.com/consumers/current-wine-selection/">Newman Wine and Spirits:
"Made by the traditional methods, this Cava spent more than 9 months on its lees in a cool, dark cave in Spain, giving it deeper flavors and a richer mouth feel. This bubbly is smooth and round with delicious flavors of apricot, peach and green apple. It’s the perfect wine for parties and toasts." - 05/05/2010

Very well balanced and nice tasting Chardonnay for $7.99. No oak here.

Nose: honey and granny-smith apple.
Front: Golden raisin. Light acidity.
Finish: Crisp, with a "sharp" aftertaste. Honeysuckel and apple from nose come back. - 01/19/2010

Wine-makers notes from Wine.com: "Owned by the Despagne family, who make some of the best whites from the Entre-duex-Mers, Mont-Perat is one of the family's red wine estates. This is dominated by Merlot, giving great juicy fruit flavors, underpinned by some wood, and a velvet, ripe texture."

From Wall Street Journal "Jug Wine" Article:

"This wine is a steal. It's fresh, fruity and fun, with lively Sauvignon Blanc green-pepper character. If you have a floating chair in the pool that holds a little plastic cup, this is the wine to pour into that cup. Lusty and easy to like, it would also make cold summertime dishes like cold poached fish sparkle. In our tasting, we found that too many whites lacked character. They tasted so much like lemon-lime water that we'd rather have Perrier with lime. This is a white with character, but oh-so-easy to gulp, too. In general, if you are looking for a crowd-pleasing, inexpensive white this summer, the new vintage of Chilean Sauvignon Blanc is one good place to start."

Kim and I are loving this cheap yet tasty white. Will pay more attention tonight to get some good tasting notes.

We've already stocked up on a few magnums... our daily drinking wine this summer. - 07/13/2009

A not-too-oaky Chardonnay. The oak was there, but for some reason it didn't bother me like other oaky wines do... I'd dare say I liked the oak flavor. This could be a great bridge wine to get you interested in oak flavors.

Buttery nose. Almost like a ham/prosciutto smell... or a subtle smoked salmon. I'm guessing the wine would go well with those foods.

Less flavor that I was expecting based on the nose, but solid still. Peppery finish. - 08/23/2008
