On the bottle: "Paul Jaboulet has been a respected shipper and vineyard owner in the Rhone Valley since 1834. They have chosen the name "Parallel 45" to immortalize the location of the vineyards for their popular Cotes Du Rhone selection. The monument pictured on the front label marks the 45th latitude which passes through many of the finest wine growing regions of the northern hemisphere." |

Sweetness makes this a nice casual wine. More likely to impress your friends who drink less wine than those who drink more. - 04/30/2009

This was just $9.99 as a "Chairman's Select" in the PA Wine and Spirits stores. Great deal at that price. Description above is pretty good. - 04/11/2009

Interesting comment re: my reviews, Jason. For some reason, I had no idea I had ever been reported, nevermind holding the title for most reported user. However, I can certainly understand your efforts to keep utter vulgarity off the site. While you're absolutely right that it's an adult site after all, I think I can tone down the language a bit, all the while maintaining the wit of my sometimes R-rated reviews. I'll do my best. Salut!

Jason, are there more reports? I would like to have one by Variety, Winery, Year. I could do this in Excel but very time I need it is tough and I just skip it. Thanks!

Nice add on the Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay-it just came available with the Cab at closeout prices. Something you don't see very often

Thanks for your message- I'm just getting started on wine log and my cellar is small. We usually go through a lot of $10 bottles of red, especially Shiraz and Zinfandel. It is surprising how good some of them can be though!

what's up fam? I am working on beefing up my page. We went to Dinner at Vetri last night (check it out www.vetriristorante.com ) I told the Sommelier, Steve, about the site and told him to check it out. He is awesome, I wish I could carry him around in my back pocket everytime I went to the liquor store! Happy Tasting!
P.S. I will give you the whole skinny on Ice Wine when I get to Canada!

From one web developer/programmer to another, you and your wife have done a great job with the site. It's exactly what I was looking for only better. The mobile site and "send to your phone" features are very convenient. I'm so glad I ran across it. It's the perfect tool I need for my wine journey. Cheers!

Hi Jason. I just found the "messages" section on my wine log page. Duh! So, in response to your question, my current favorite chardonnay is White Horse Chardonnay, 2004 or 05. Don't bother with their reds, but the chard was yummy. Thanks for the message -- now I know they are there!

Another explanation for the consistently good reviews lately is that I've been buying a lot of wines I found on WineLog (through recommendations). I guess the site is working. I'd love to have a 5 on there, but then maybe I've been subconsciously reserving 5s for those wines I found all on my own.

Thanks, Foodie.
In other news... I've been logging a lot of 4s lately. How very consistent and boring of me. I have had a stuffy nose for a while, which has affected my taste. My smell especially. Thus I've been able to say, "This wine is good." but have had a hard time picking the flavors out of them. It will be interesting to come back and drink these wines again once my nostrils have cleared up.
