I need to pick some more of this up to give it a go. I only remember it tasting good. Was well balanced. Good flavor. - 02/29/2008

Thought it was an okay wine. Good for the price. Lots of folks here like the 2004.

Nothing struck me as off about this wine, but then nothing caught my attention in a good way either. - 02/25/2008

Bit toasty on the nose. Great berry front. Tingles the cheeks. Nice tannins. Maybe a bit too acidic. - 02/16/2008

... and yet also a great 'Jason' wine. Deep ruby color.

Nice plum nose, with a lil bit of woodchip. Smooth juicy taste on the front. Lil blueberry. Long peppery finish.

Great wine. - 02/11/2008

This was my first Sherry ever. I rated it 1 star.

It's very possible that I just don't like Sherry. So I'll have to try some more to find out.

In any case, this tasted too much like very sweet prune juice. It tasted like liquid Fig Newtons (http://www.nabiscoworld.com/newtons/).

Maybe that sounds appealing to you, but it didn't go well with me. I couldn't finish the glass. - 01/31/2008

I thought the cherry was a little less than subtle (in a good way). Well I figure since I could taste it, it mustn't be subtle.

Well balanced and smooth. Low tanins. Nice smokey taste in there too. Very good wine, I thought. - 01/31/2008

'just remember this being "alright". Needed more character. I'd like to try it again. Previous vintages are very popular here. - 01/30/2008

For Super Bowl XLII (2008).

This might not even be wine. It's called "table wine with natural flavors".

Still looking forward to tasting a classic. The guy at the Wine & Spirits store said this was a popular item.

I'll report back after the Super Bowl. - 01/29/2008

Nice add on the Beringer Private Reserve Chardonnay-it just came available with the Cab at closeout prices. Something you don't see very often

Thanks for your message- I'm just getting started on wine log and my cellar is small. We usually go through a lot of $10 bottles of red, especially Shiraz and Zinfandel. It is surprising how good some of them can be though!

I have my first two canadian wines posted more to come!

what's up fam? I am working on beefing up my page. We went to Dinner at Vetri last night (check it out www.vetriristorante.com ) I told the Sommelier, Steve, about the site and told him to check it out. He is awesome, I wish I could carry him around in my back pocket everytime I went to the liquor store! Happy Tasting!
P.S. I will give you the whole skinny on Ice Wine when I get to Canada!

From one web developer/programmer to another, you and your wife have done a great job with the site. It's exactly what I was looking for only better. The mobile site and "send to your phone" features are very convenient. I'm so glad I ran across it. It's the perfect tool I need for my wine journey. Cheers!

Hi Jason. I just found the "messages" section on my wine log page. Duh! So, in response to your question, my current favorite chardonnay is White Horse Chardonnay, 2004 or 05. Don't bother with their reds, but the chard was yummy. Thanks for the message -- now I know they are there!

Another explanation for the consistently good reviews lately is that I've been buying a lot of wines I found on WineLog (through recommendations). I guess the site is working. I'd love to have a 5 on there, but then maybe I've been subconsciously reserving 5s for those wines I found all on my own.

Thanks, Foodie.

In other news... I've been logging a lot of 4s lately. How very consistent and boring of me. I have had a stuffy nose for a while, which has affected my taste. My smell especially. Thus I've been able to say, "This wine is good." but have had a hard time picking the flavors out of them. It will be interesting to come back and drink these wines again once my nostrils have cleared up.

This site is my new favorite addiction. Well done.
