| Jun. 20, 2012 | Masi Tupungato “Corbec” 2008 |
| Personal Notes |
This is an Amarone-style wine (i.e. made with partially dried grapes) made in Argentina, by the kings of the style (Masi Agricola). Ripe and full (as you might expect) and black fruit dominated, this wine over delivers when it comes to price. A fantastic combination of winemaking cultures. Great value. 88pts. |

| Jun. 20, 2012 | Pulenta Estate Malbec "I" 2009 |
| Personal Notes |
This grape variety can offer wines that are somewhat blunt, overly alcoholic and oppressive - not so in the case of this wine. There is a real sense of elegance here, from the well resolved nose, through to the luxuriant finish. Very nicely made. 89pts. |

| Jun. 6, 2012 | Michele Chiarlo Barbera d'Asti "Le Orme" 2009 |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
This is a traditionally styled and well made example of the grape. Whilst not particularly nuanced, this is nicely integrated and fairly priced. 85pts. - 06/06/2012

| May. 10, 2012 | Michele Chiarlo “Rovereto” Gavi di Gavi DOCG 2010 |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
This is an expressive and nuanced example of a classic wine that often fails to live up to expectations. Perfect with seafood due to a trademark twist of lime, try this with a Ligurian fish stew. 87pts. - 05/10/2012

| May. 9, 2012 | Marchesi di Gresy Barbaresco “Gaiun” Martinenga DOCG 2001 |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
This 2001 release of this outstanding, internationally styled Nebbiolo is simply sublime. Denser that the other Nebbiolo offered by this estate, this wine is rich and at times almost sweet with red fruit and cocoa. Great nuance. 94pts. - 05/09/2012

This is without a doubt an outstanding wine. Wonderfully balanced and nuanced (even at what is a relatively young age) this wine is also perfectly structured for the future too. Up to 20 years potential. 92pts |

Marchesi di Gresy is famous for Barbaresco and this fame is due to the unique characteristics of the Martinenga Estate. Previously the birthplace to a Roman Emperor and a place of worship dedicated to the god of war, the Martinenga Estate today produces sublime wines. 89pts. - 05/07/2012

| May. 6, 2012 | Marchesi di Gresy “Monte Colombo” Barbera d’Asti DOC 2007 |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
This "Monte Colombo" Barbera is rich, deep and hevaily extracted. Not so much a typical expression of Barbera d'Asti - more Marchesi di Gresy's idea of the ultimate Barbera d'Asti. Similar in style to Michele Chiarlo's "La Court". 92pts - 05/06/2012
| May. 5, 2012 | Marchesi di Gresy “Villa Martis” Langhe Rosso DOC 2008 |

This "Villa Martis" is a fantastic example of when Piedmont's two best know grape varieties are blended. 60% Barbera and 40% Nebbiolo, this IS direct, but harmonious and structured , but balanced. 90pts. - 05/05/2012

Sauvignon Blanc is an unusual grape to find in Piedmont, however Marchesi di Gresy's New Zealand born winemaker Jeff Chilcott may have had something to do with it's introduction at this winery. An unusual, low acid style of Sauvignon Blanc is balanced and individual. 88pts. |

| Tasting Notes & Comments |
This 2006 Brown Brothers Patricia Shiraz is without a doubt one of the ultimate expressions of Australian Shiraz. A fraction of the price of Australia's other top Shiraz (Penfolds, Henschke, Torbreck etc), this nonetheless matches them for quality. 95pts. |
