A clear deep blood red. pronounced aromas of red cherry, current, violet, dry stones, pepper and vanilla. Dry with a balanced medium to high acidity and tannin. full bodied. With flavors of plum, fig, cinnamon, coffee, golden syrup, pepper and vanilla. A very jammy wine also evoking a bit of earthyness. Also high in alcohol. good to very good, and very drinkable now. - 12/27/2007

a medium deep black cherry kind of red.Pronounced aromas of blackcurrent jam, cinnamon, tobacco, a sense of wet stones and earth. Smoky.Dry with med-high tannins and acidity, and a full yet medium body, evoking tastes of cedar, earth, black currents, trecle, fig, tobacco and smoked meats? pretty high in alcohol. good but would like to try it again in a few years. - 12/27/2007

a lovely garnet-saffron color. With aromas of rainer cherries, fig, vanilla, ginger maybe even a hint of cinnamon. Also a flower garden, my note state it is like sitting in your grandmothers kitchen while she bakes staring out the window at the garden.....Dry. both acidity and tannins are a balanced medium with a long finish, tasting of more of gran's baking, with maybe a hint of truffle...good - 12/27/2007

currently drinking, as of right now. the most beautiful color of gold with an exploding upward moving waterfall of very very tiny bubbles! Aromas of white peony, the obvious yeast as should be..almonds and maybe even a white truffle...this is a very earthy champagne! love it! all Pinot. Very satiny on the tongue, reminds me of marzipan, both sweet and bitter, very dry.a bit of peachiness too. oh and that sense of biting into warm freshly baked bread. |
