In the spirit of our Diablita, we created the Diablita™ Tres Appellation Blend, a combination of Alexander Valley, Cole Ranch & Sonoma County fruit. Apr. 9, 2008	Russian River Esterlina Chardonnay 2005 Russian River Esterlina Chardonnay 2005 Region: USA, California, Sonoma County, Russian River Valley > Winery: Esterlina Variety: Chardonnay Esterlina’s Chardonnays have typically been a combination of fruit, a bit of oak and great acidity. This vintage is similar. Lots of green and citrus aromas, including pineapple and lemon on the nose, with a hint of spice. The mouth starts with lots of apple and pineapple, but there is a bit of oak and there is a slight nutty flavor, too. The wine ends with a terrific finish. The color is gorgeous—a rich garnet. There are lots of black fruit aromas, with plum, clove and a bit of smoky oak, too. The flavors are ripe, rich and complex, with black cherry, blackberry, and cocoa. With firm tannins, good acidity, and a lingering finish, this wine will appeal to most red wine lovers. It starts with a gorgeous nose, full of ripe red fruit, floral and earthy mineral aromas. The mouth is about ripe red cherries and berries, with good acidity and a long finish.
