Good aperitif or digestif. Sweet with lots of pear and graham flavors, complex. Good finish. Paired well with sharp cheeses. |

| Mar. 25, 2007 | Pierre Sparr Pinot Gris Reserve 2005 |
| Personal Notes |
Good solid Pinot Gris -- more minerals than fruit. Dry and fairly easy to match. Slightly buttery finish. |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
Company Line -- Terrific nose of apple, pear, peach, and quince, with spicy mineral elements. Mouthfilling flavor that finishes with fruity notes. Racy and complex, intense yet graceful. As an aperitif, or with foie gras, scallops, fish, poultry, game, and pasta. - 03/25/2007

| Jan. 25, 2007 | Woodhall Gunpowder Falls Red 2004 |
| Personal Notes |
An excellent table red for general use. Highly accessible. Bright fruit flavors with good sugars and forward acid. Easy pair with casual red-wine-type fare. |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Cabernet Franc, 21% Merlot, 9% Seyval. Company Line: Soft, yet full. Dry, yet flavorful. Needs no aging. A wine for everyday use or for special occasions, whenever a red wine is appropriate. - 01/25/2007

| Jan. 23, 2007 | Heritage Clones Petit Sirah 2004 |
| Personal Notes |
It's a fruit bomb. Lots of blackberry, chocolate, and currant. Nonthreatening and widely accessible. Strangely, it has a carbonated mouthfeel, unless you eat something sweet beforehand. Not bad overall. |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
Company Line: This wine is a blend of the old clone vineyards and exhibits a very rich blackberry and chocolate bouquet with exotic flavors of currant, anise, mocha coffee and creamy orange zest. This Petite Sirah will pair nicely with roasted meats. - 01/23/2007

| Jan. 8, 2007 | Chateau du Jaunay Muscadet 2004 |

Good value wine; goes extremely well with light fare, asian food, and chickeny stuff |

| Jul. 23, 2006 | Horton Viognier 2000 |
| Personal Notes |
Honeysuckle and (surprising) caramel nose leads to soft vanilla and mild citrus flavors. Fantastic aperitif with a slight chill on it. Limited bottling unfortunately. |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
Company Line: Horton Vineyards is an acknowledged leader in producing wold class Viognier. This magnificent grape of Condrieu ripens to perfection during the warm Virginia summer. Intense floral aromas along with exotic melon flavors make this a luscious wine with a long, complex finish. Elegant and aristocratic, Horton Viognier is the essence of viticulture. - 07/23/2006

| Jul. 12, 2006 | Woodhall Case Club Red 2002 |
| Personal Notes |
A bit thin when first opened; decant and sit for a bit to let it open. Good chambourcin structure with moderate fruit leads to cab finish with some darker flavors. Some tannins. Sour cherries late. Quite versatile -- paired with spaghetti one night and tilapia fajitas the next -- and it worked both times. |

Company Line: This proprietary blend is dedicated to the Woodhall Case Club, and is available only to its members. - 07/12/2006

Falls right between port and sherry in flavor. Excellent. |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
Company Line: A rich, luscious dessert wine: displaying complex flavours of dark chocolate, liquorice and raisins, with a silky smooth finish. Truly reflecting many years of patience and the fine art of blending. - 07/08/2006

Oaky nose with hint of cherry. Tannic yet smooth opening with bitter chocolate, leather, and earth. Long finish. |

| Jun. 23, 2006 | Woodhall Angler Red 2005 |
| Personal Notes |
Slightly sweet table wine. Good for drinking and cooking. Makes a kick-ass addition to spaghetti sauce -- good sugar balance. |
| Tasting Notes & Comments |
A sweet (to my taste) table wine. 11% alcohol. Chill well and serve with everyday fare; pairs very well with Italian takeout, pizza and Chef Boyardee. Yes, I'm 33 and still eat Spaghetti-Os from time to time. - 06/23/2006

| Jun. 5, 2006 | Rappahannock Merlot 2002 |
| Personal Notes |
Exhibits strong bramble fruit and currant characateristics. Just a hint of the usual VA spice notes. Dry but not tannic. Surprisingly good with a little chill on it. |
| May. 26, 2006 | Woodhall Parkton Prestige 2002 |
| Personal Notes |
7/2006 - Still fairly tannic and dry, needs strong food to pair with, but drinkable. Another year or two and, if it follows other Woodhall wines, it will be mellow and quite tasty. |

| Tasting Notes & Comments |
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 21% Merlot, 19% Cabernet Franc. Solid, balanced red that can be enjoyed with a wide variety of foods, or by itself. Very smooth, with little tannin or acid, the chocolate-covered-cherry nose leads to a enjoyable if muted flavor. I expected more dryness, even given its age. - 05/26/2006

| May. 26, 2006 | Concannon Cabernet Sauvignon |
| Personal Notes |
Rich, structured, with particularly muted tannins for a Cabernet; this offering is particularly awesome. Black currants on the nose, huge fruit on the palate, with a long dark chocolate finish. No tannin. |
| May. 26, 2006 | Kendall Jackson Chardonnay Vinters Reserve 2005 |
| Personal Notes |
One of the great Chardonnay bargains. Exhibits all the characteristics I love in a Chardonnay, yet completely mainstream in its drinkability. |
