2013: It’s So Good to Be Here

Welcome, Year 2013 of the Gregorian Calendar!  I am normally not one to set New Year’s Resolutions…if you want to accomplish something, just DO IT!  Don’t wait until the arbitrary date set by a Pope to change your life.  On the other hand, I happen to have a number of things in flux at the moment and today just happens to be the best day to start doing them, following some weeks of drinking wine contemplation.

First off, and perhaps most importantly for all of you Vinopanions, look for a much higher frequency of postings, including many shorter ones.  While I have been rather prolific at reviewing the many wines that I taste and receive as samples, I have not been so good lately at doing actual Vinopanion posts.  This will change and as such, the Vinopanion Facebook page will also be a lot more active.

With all of the many wine events that I’ve attended recently, along with those that are already planned for Q1-2 of 2013, you will have many an article to check out about our adventures.  With the happy rise of the Lady’s food/art/travel blog Rollerskating With Scissors, Beth Fontaine (Twitter) and I have many a #foodie & #wine adventure to scribe!  You can look forward to stories about my recent visits to Strada del Vino Terre di Arezzo, another from Chianti Classico; the events for Pure Chablis, Discover Beaujolais, and the Portuguese house of Esporão; always more from Bordeaux.com; all amongst many others.

Lastly, I’ll be doing all of this increased vino activity alongside my work on cancer drug development, a brand new aggregate website for all of my activities, writing for the fantastic and upcoming Block122.com; and training for an Olympic triathalon; whew!

Join along for the ride!

Did you hear about cliff richard doing a blind taste test on the radio a while back? Shagged off one of the wines good and prepor. Turned out to be from his own vineyard. Schoolboy error. Think his vineyard is in france, so hardly relevant, but still. Drinking a cf4tes du phone at the minute. Bit meh. Not heavy enough. The wine equivalent of carling black label.
