Why would a winegeek like me want to write about two weeks without wine? Well, it’s not some experiment to see if I can go without. You see, like many folks in this country, I have a good too many pounds around the waistline. And I’ve heard from a couple of docs that while my […]

While watching my guilty-pleasure reality show Top Chef last night, I was flabbergasted that the chefs chose to forgo serving wine with an Italian dinner. Although the decision was a budget issue, I feel that they could have changed their menu around to make room in the budget for a few inexpensive and delicious wines.

You can read my post about six sparkling wines. Look for a wrap up by Culinary Fool this weekend.

This year I decided to make it easy on my friends and family by providing them with this musical list. I’ll spare you the agony of the first 11 days and get right down to the good stuff. Hummmmmmmm………
Lower cholesterol! Live longer! Improve cardiovascular health!
Those are some of the claims we hear every week from new studies celebrating the positive health effects of red wine.
Winesmith is happy to get regular doses of the good juice that provides all of these benefits. But I wish somebody could tell me why it messes with my sleep patterns so much.
Hello, I’m andrew99bell, and I’m from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, England. Of course many of you will be thinking not a great hotbed for wines, well its time to think again. Through my postings and recommendations I hope to give people a greater insight into some of the great wines that we produce here in England.
