Every month I like to go to Total Wine and get a stash. I only grabbed 6 bottles this time since I will be gone for about 2 weeks this month for work travel. (I have noted them with Bought - Not Drank in my log) All bottles are under $10.

Pizza and Wine - The Perfect Saturday Night

Since it is a Saturday night and I don’t feel like cooking, we are doing pizza tonight. It doesn’t hurt that all the pizza places are running that deal where any pizza is $10. Plus, my wife loves pizza more than anything. She has to have Coke when she eats pizza. I on the other hand was up for trying a new wine. When I went to Total Wine, I knew ahead of time I was going to be ordering pizza for dinner. I honestly don’t know when I have had wine with pizza, but I figure it can’t be much different than having wine with any other Italian dish.

Hello all. My name is Matt Baehr and I am coming at you from Fairfax, VA just outside DC. I have loosely kept a blog of wines under $10. As a wine novice, but lover who doesn’t have a great deal to spend, I try to keep my purchases cheap.

My favorites tend to be Tuscan reds. If I have extra money, a Brunello would be my choice. Although Pinot Noir and Shiraz are also varities I like. My wife is more into whites, so don’t worry, I won’t leave those out.
