Kim and I will be at the Virginia Wine Festival this Saturday, September 15th, 2007. Look for us. We look like this.
We’re so excited. We haven’t been to a wine-related festival of this size. It should be a good time.
I’m also hoping that we can run into some of our Virigina friends: winesmith, dezel, cardcat, and chiefwino.
If you are a Viriginia friend that I’ve missed (or just don’t know yet), and will be at this event. Give a shout out below.

Hi Jason,
I will be there on Sunday, so please save some wine for me (lol). Sorry I will miss you all! This is the 1st weekend we are expecting some really nice weather, and it has come at a good time. Be sure to visit my friends at Corcoran Vineyards – they are a young winery, but producing some pretty tight reds …Cab Franc, Malbec, etc
If you are doing anything wine related later that evening drop me an email. Tip from last year: try to be one of the early birds; traffic was awful last year.
Have fun!
Dezel
I’m excited to do the write-up for this festival. Even though we got there late (due to some traffic), we had a blast.
The event coordinators were very nice and didn’t give us a bunch of grief getting in as ‘press’. The line was huge, but our friends who we bought tickets for in advance got in within 5 minutes.
We tasted a lot of wine in very little time. Some Thai food helped us cope a little bit. Later, Mike of designated driver helped us navigate the crazy parking lot after the festival ended (at 6 sharp!).
We did get a chance to visit the Corcoran folks. Nice people. Very nice wine. We took home a bottle of the Viognier that we and a bunch of others liked. We took home 4 other bottles from other wineries.
Anyway… more to come in the official write up.
