WineLog is Good for your Relationship

It seems that Jason and I aren’t the only couple enjoying WineLog together. Several WineLog users have listed in their profile that they are a husband and wife or girlfriend and boyfriend team, using WineLog together to track the wines they are trying together. Neat!

I’m sure every couple’s therapist would support a couple exploring a new passion or interest, so I am glad to see these types of users emerging on our site. Moreover, it’s hard to enjoy a bottle of wine on your own, without severely regretting it the next day, and it’s even more difficult to enjoy tasting several wines in one evening unless you are a twosome or more.

Check out these users:

  • Cvdear: A logging team whose wine tastes are moving “up the ladder in both quality and price range.” They are interested in learning about good investment wines for aging.
  • tweb38: A young married couple who discovered their love of wine adventures after their first trip to Santa Ynez and Paso Robles.
  • rdjlm5: A husband and wife living in the UK who enjoy traveling throughout Europe to taste wines.
  • mindpirate: A boyfriend-girlfriend team just getting into wine. They’re interested in recommendations, so add a comment on their log if you have something to suggest!
  • amarkert: A blogger who maintains a log for him and his friend Desirae.

This interesting form of use has spurned a discussion within our team about other couples’ features we could add to our list of services. For one thing, we wondered how these team accounts rate wines — what if they disagree?

Another idea might be a shared Wine Cellar tab. Jason and I have worked out the arrangement that I maintain the cellar yippee!) on my wine log and he then accesses the wines we taste by viewing his my friends page.

If you’re a couple using WineLog together out there, I would love to know you how and why you’ve chosen to use WineLog as a team. Let us know if you think of any interesting features that would better assist couples using our site together.

it’s right, in my wine cellar often I see husband and wife that entirety tastes and estimates the wine, even if the women are who decide

Women have a great amount of influence over their significant others — that’s probably true in all things, including wine preference. I often hear stories from couples that the man prefers red wine, but they always drink white because it is what the woman prefers.

Still, men deserve their own opinion when choosing and rating wines, don’t you agree?
