Kim has one. Now here is my sexy wine-guy photo from our honeymoon. We had a great time. Kim recapped the resort’s wine pretty well. In short: the house sparkler was pretty good, red was okay, white was horrendous.
I’ve had an AWESOME past few weeks. But now I’m ready to get back to business here. WineLog users, take a look at the recommendations page again. Let us know what you think. We have a ton in store, but wanted to get at least the basic functionality out there: show you the wines our algorithms have picked for you.
FYI, here are the wines we had at our wedding. All are great value buys, and all are great for wine newbies and aficionados alike. (Those were the main 2 criteria for us.)
Red: Mano a Mano Tempranillo is a wine we’ve talked about a lot. It’s the first wine I was really wowed by. I chose it as the best wine at a blind tasting I was at, beating wines 3-8x it’s price.
White: Rene Barbier Mediterranean White is a really great white wine from Spain and ridiculously cheap for how good it tastes (we got our case for about $4.50 per bottle).
Sparkling: We toasted with 130 glasses of Sumarroca Brut Nature Gran Reserva, an excellent sparkling wine out of…Spain again.
We have about a case each left of the above wines, which is nice. We rarely get a chance to re-drink the wines we like as we’re spending our time trying new stuff for the website (and our enjoyment). I’m looking forward to enjoying some more of this stuff, as I didn’t drink anything other than the sparkling wine at the wedding.
At the same time, 36 bottles is a lot. So we’re going to try to figure out a way to give some of this away to our favorite users. Once we work out the legal issues of gifting wine from Pennsylvania, we’ll come up with some appropriate criteria to choose the lucky few.

One Response to “My Sexy Honeymoon Pic”
That is a VERY sexy pic. I love a man who coordinates his outfit with his wine selection. Plus, you’re showing off your new bling-ing wedding band!
